Professional Counseling Disclaimer
The information provided on this website is for general informational purposes only and is not intended to be a substitute for professional mental health advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Viewing this site, contacting the therapist, or receiving a response does not establish a therapeutic relationship. A therapeutic relationship is established only after a formal intake process and the signing of consent and disclosure documents.
Counseling Outcomes and Individual Differences
While counseling can lead to significant growth, healing, and positive change, results are not guaranteed. Each person’s experience in therapy is unique, and outcomes may vary based on individual concerns, readiness for change, level of engagement, and other personal and environmental factors.
Therapy is a collaborative process that requires active participation. Though many clients benefit from counseling, there are no guarantees that goals will be achieved within a specific timeframe or at all.
State Licensure and Scope of Services
Therapeutic services are provided by a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who is legally authorized to offer counseling in the following states:
Texas: Licensed by the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council (BHEC). For more information, visit https://bhec.texas.gov.
Missouri: Licensed by the Missouri Committee for Professional Counselors, a division of the Missouri Division of Professional Registration. For more information, visit https://pr.mo.gov/counselors.
Please note: Services are offered only to individuals physically located in Texas or Missouri at the time of receiving services. If you are outside these states, this practice is unable to provide therapy services to you.
Not Emergency or Crisis Support
This website does not offer emergency mental health services or crisis intervention. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or need immediate support:
Call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
Contact the National Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by dialing 988 (available 24/7).
You can also text “HELLO” to 741741 to reach a trained crisis counselor through the Crisis Text Line.
Informed Consent and Confidentiality
Prior to beginning therapy, clients will be asked to review and sign informed consent forms outlining confidentiality, limits of privacy, risks and benefits of therapy, and practice policies. These forms are required for all clients and are designed to protect both client and therapist and to ensure ethical and transparent care.
